Joint Commission Policy Statement

Subcontractors

Pacer Healthcare Solutions maintains transparency with regard to all the client engagements. We do not allow subcontractors to provide Assigned Employees to clients unless prior permission has been received from them. This will ensure that the clients maintain complete control and visibility of the staffing resources being used in their operations.

Floating

Assigned Employees are carefully aligned into roles that meet the job descriptions of the employee. Should an employee be reassigned to another department, the employee must pass specific criteria, which includes suitability to the receiving unit, document competency in the new role, and current certifications. Pacer HCS shall be notified immediately in case the employee is reassigned or floated.

Competency Review

Pacer Healthcare Solutions ensures that thorough pre-employment assessments are performed to assess the competency of Assigned Employees. These assessments will be based on technical skills, procedures, and knowledge required for delivering quality care as discussed in the onboarding process at Pacer HCS. We encourage our clients to engage actively in evaluating an employee's performance and capability to perform his job.

Employee Orientation

We orient our employees on all policies and procedures of Pacer Healthcare Solutions. The client is responsible for orienting the employee to the client's facility. This includes, but is not limited to, rules and regulations specific to the facility, equipment, and the physical layout. This collaborative effort allows for an easy transition into the client's work environment.

Employees and Independent Contractors

All the Assigned Employees have retained Pacer Healthcare Solutions as their employer. We maintain all our rights in the usage of Independent Contractors on a discretionary basis; however, the main promise remains with the employees so that the service delivery to the client remains of high quality.

Incident and Error Tracking System

To comply with Joint Commission standards, Pacer Healthcare Solutions has maintained a robust system for tracking incidents and errors. This system maintains records of all incidents, errors, sentinel events, safety hazards, and any other relevant events related to the delivery of care or service. These reports are shared with the clients, regulatory agencies, and the Joint Commission as required and are thus characterized by transparency and accountability.

Reporting Occupational Safety Hazards/Events

Any incident, competency issues, or complaints by an Assigned Employee must be brought to the notice of Pacer Healthcare Solutions within 24 hours. Open communication with the client allows any concerns raised to be effectively addressed in the shortest time possible, ensuring excellent standards of safety and service are maintained.

Specifications for Staff Provided

The written agreement between Pacer Healthcare Solutions and the client outlines the specific requirements for staffing, guiding the selection and placement of the Assigned Employees. Pacer HCS is dedicated to meeting specifications that include documented competencies, credentials, health screenings, and experience to ensure safe and effective care.

Staff Matching Requirements

Pacer Healthcare Solutions verifies the licensure, certifications, education, and work experience of all Assigned Employees to ensure the highest standards of staffing. This verification process ensures that employees are properly matched to meet the specific qualifications and requirements of each assignment, guaranteeing competency and expertise in every role.
